Hi all. Great to see this community is buzzing with positivity.
I decided to take the dive into the C25K program due to a bit of a health scare last week and I really want to be healthier for my 8 month old daughter who is on the verge of being mobile so will need t9 be chasing round after her.
Anyway, I was so fired up for this over the weekend and this morning. Went out the door, fired up some acid house in the headphones and had Sarah Millican tell me what to do so off I went. It could be the hot weather, maybe even that I had a few drinks yesterday for the football (last drinks for me now until Christmas - I'm giving it up now) but truth is it's because I'm mega unfit!! I got to the 4th "run" and hit the dreaded wall. I tried my hardest to push through but my body just wouldn't allow it. Shins aching, gasping for breath and even a crippling stitch. So I just had walk the rest of the session with the exception of a 30 second final push run on the last running bit. Now getting back I feel pretty deflated if I'm honest. I was so pumped for it but if I can't even do the first session, how am I gonna do the 5k in 9 weeks?? So, it was not completed fully, is this a partial success or partial failure?
