Hi runners!

I’m in the I can finish zone! I’m a runner and MJ was very proud of me too. What more can one ask for?

Well I got out and it was already pretty hot! However, as soon as I hit the corner I was faced with a poor cat who had obviously been hit by a car and.....well I don’t want to spoil anyone’s day. It made my whole run a challenge. I couldn’t do anything about it, but it was hard to get that image out of my head. So, of all the runs so far, this one took more mental strength than physical. It’s the lovely thought free zone that I absolutely love. I was imagining the cats owners wondering where their cat is. Ok...let me stop. So I had to reason with myself in that sometimes life is like that. You have many unexpected things happen and you can’t do anything about it, but you can always create some good ones too.

I feel absolutely amazed by this experience and I have found a mental flexibility in myself like never before. I didn’t have humour to carry me through on this run, but I had the belief that I can do it. I can be a runner and go all the way! In fact MJ said I’m a runner! Hey.....it must be true!

Thank you! Me too! I have a cat and always worry about the fact he seems to like to lay in the road sometimes. It’s only around the corner too. My cat was meant to be for my son 🙄, but you know you can’t help but get attached. Another thing thrown into the mix, but I did it! 😁😁❤️

Too near Jay! I always run the other way when he’s out, as he does try to follow me for a bit! I’ve no idea if he’s ever been around the corner, but I’m certainly not going to lead him there. Just have to hope!

Well done! Brilliant- you are on the home stretch now! That’s really sad though & like u I can’t bear anything like that - i would be thinking about it all day. I saw a bird hit by a car a few weeks ago & couldn’t get the image out of my head! Don’t dwell on it though - focus on the fact that the podium is in sight! Can u see all of us in the distance polishing the podium & waving at you??
