Couldn’t believe it but I did it this morning. I never would have got this far without the amazing support and advice from people on this forum. My friends are supportive (but have no idea why I’m doing this). Only you guys understand how running (did I just say that, meaning me??) can become addictive even to old ladies like me 🤗

W5R3 Complete!
Well done BettyB. It is a big achievement to complete this run and you should feel good about yourself. I'm old too and this is a bucket list thing but I am enjoying the challenge and beginning to enjoy the fact I have made progress from being a total numpty to a slightly less numty 😂. Keep at it and I will follow you. My W6R1 is on Sunday morning. So hopefully it goes fine.
Take care
Gavin
Sunday or Monday for me. I do believe it’s mind over matter now...We’re going to do this! No more numpties!
Hahaha the numpty club is no longer 😂
Hey Betty. I completed w6r1 this morning. It was challenging as folk had warned but you will do fine. I forgot to stretch my calf's and suffered a wee bit but was always going to finish it . good luck when you do yours Betty
Brilliant, well done! 👍 Keep on with the programme. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. You’ll get there, just take it slowly and steadily next week. 😀 We’re all on your side and cheering you on 👏👏
Well done! Nice landmark run smashed!
I strangely found myself setting off one evening with rain threatening, to do a run I couldn’t fit in for the next couple of days. Very unlike me. The only things I’ve been addicted to before are sugar and chocolate. Not sure what is happening to me but I’m very interested to know if my stamina can get up to 30 mins. I’m starting to believe it’s possible as it has already increased 5 fold! Amazing.
Keep enjoying!
