I am at Wk6r3. At the moment I am finding that the night before fills me with dread--can I do it-will this be the run that I can't do? And usually that has been an unfounded fear. I will be glad when I read the "excited the night before" stage. Please let me get there!!!

Hi Rebecca. Well done on starting this amazing programme.

I was the same as you - always wanted to be able to run and envious of those that could. And now I can! I did a very slow but enjoyable 5k this morning (morning runs are my favourite). Keep going, you will love it 😊

Enjoy :-). I started the C25K after recovering from a hysterectomy, I'm now about to start wk 7 this evening. I never believed in a million years I'd do it, but we'll, here is am. I too run every other day unless there's a very good reason I can't. I tend to do evening straight after work but if OH is in days and gets up at 4 then I try to get out of the house by 6,30 at the latest. There's something refreshing about a run before work. Keep it up and look forward to hearing how you're doing

Welcome to the club. Not just C25K, but the wider community. You will find runners of all ages and capabilities will welcome you and offer support and encouragement. We are Lesley aged 65 and me, Pete aged 67. We started running in February, mainly because we want to stay here as long as possible. But it has changed so much.

Being part of the running community has been fab. We both graduated C25K last month and have been on holiday to France. We found some really lovely places to run while away. But the one thing that was the biggest influence on keeping us going was the death of Matthew Campbell at the London Marathon. As sad as that is, the way the community has rallied around has been fantastic.

Go take a look at the Facebook page (link below) and get inspiration from that. Well done for getting up and out, you can do it, difficult though it seems at times. But just keep on keeping on.

Well done for taking the first step. First run under your belt. I completed C25k a week ago. I am 66 years old was 4 stone overweight. Nearly at my target weight. Since completing I have now run 2 5k runs. My first took 37minutes but last one took me 43 minutes but I kept plugging away and finished it. Intend to do two runs a week and try to get faster but the main thing is that I can be now classed as a runner

Welcome and we’ll done!! I’m Fast approaching 50 and haven’t run since school, always hated it! Started with the app 10 weeks ago, graduated last week and have done four runs since. I wanted to surprise my kids, but I still haven’t told themπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. As others will tell you it’s quitw addictive, I now look forward to going out! I prefer the morning ones, I always find it harder after work. Keep up the good work!! 😘

Well done you 😊 I am 62 and have never run before. I always thought I could not do it but this programme really works, I am on W9R2 now running for 30 minutes non stop. Take it slowly, make sure you have at least 1 rest day between runs and you will get there!

Hi well done for starting. I remember my first week and couldn’t believe I’d managed to run without feeling like I would collapse 🀣 It’s still hard but I can run for 20-25 mins now. I’m 55 and struggling with the menopause. Better now back on HRT. Glad I’ve found this support network

Hi, well done! Good choice to do the C25K programme! As you I always wanted to be a runner and I tried several programmes and always didn't get far or run into knee pain. But finally with C25K I'm most of the time happy with my runs. And this week I'll start W8!!! I never thought that I will run 25 minutes (W7) and not looking like dying immediatedly! ;) So, go on ... you will be a runner in some weeks! And if you feel you need to repeat a week, do it! I did it several times ... so week 8 is like week 14 or so for me. ;) But I think it's better to repeat than to stop! :)
