Well my gorgeous 12 yo running buddy is on a school trip to France so I set out alone for a run tonight. I am very directionally challenged and decided to find a new route as we have been following the same route for 6 weeks now ! It was a little more up hill than we are used to which resulted in some walking in first 10 minute section but overall pleased with route and effort. I managed to complete the 2nd set of 10 minutes without any problems once back on a familiar flat path.
I am continuing with the plan this week and then doing it all again once my daughter is back home so figure there’s no problem if I struggle to complete the runs this week.
I found the solitary run perfect for clearing my head and planning an email that really needs to be sent!! Very cathartic!! My legs are feeling stiff and am about to soak them in a nice hot bath!
I think I am starting to get a little hooked on running!! Oh and I popped into slimming world and in spite of a heavy weekend I am 2lbs down. That’s 7lbs in 2 weeks! Will be at goal in no time at this rate!! Off to Dorset for another heavy week so will have another tourist run and might try 25 mins run although that makes me nervous alone!!
