Picked what I thought was a fairly flat route, but the middle 10 mins or so was a gradual, long, slightly uphill, slog. Really struggled, but surprised that, despite how much my chest, heart, lungs, head, all screamed, when I looked down, there were the old legs pumping along, lost in their own rhythm.

Difficult to believe how far I’ve come since those first 60 sec runs 6 weeks ago....

Follow the programme folks, it really, REALLY works.💪👍

Sometimes we just have to learn not to listen to our brain cos it's an idiot. Our legs are capable of doing a lot more than our dumb brain gives them credit for. Good for you for digging in and gritting it out. That's the mental toughness that will get you up on the podium with flying colours. And a nice cake :-)

Oh yes!!!

When the legs find their happy pace.. you are really cruising along :)
