I should have been out yesterday and finished week 8.
I should be going out tomorrow for the first of my final three runs and looking forward to finally graduating from this programme Iāve failed twice before.
But Iām Iāll.
Iāve picked up a virus from my lovely sharing boyfriend and Iāve spent most of the last 2 days in bed feeling sorry for myself.
I know Iāll be able to get back into it, as long as I donāt have weeks off (Iām hoping another few days will knock this out of me) but Iām dreading how lethargic Iām going to be once I get back out there again.
Anyway, just needed to ramble for a bit, feeling sorry for myself and canāt sleep so needed something to do! š
Have a good day and great running everyone!

You can do it. Don't be too hard on yourself and perhaps just repeat a run from week 7 really slowly when the virus has gone and meanwhile drink loads of water, rest and flush the virus out of your system.
just take it easy... you can soon get back on it. Health is more important and all that.
PS I kinda know how you feel I did wk6R3 last Tuesday, then life and stuff took over and was planning to go back out yesterday... but I fell over fri and now have bruised and painful toe and knee!! really want /need to carry on and progress, but I will have to wait.
wonder how long of a gap is acceptable/OK? get well soon and good luck
Sorry to hear this. Perhaps plan to break yourself back in as you recover? Maybe walk a couple of days then do a couple of short runs before doing your next run on the programme?
