W8 . . . Breaking the rules! (Naughty, naughty)

Well time to put my hands up and come clean . . . . I broke the rules today!

Last week W8R2 (Thursday) went completely wrong and I was not able to complete it. (Awwww). So I had an extra days rest and tried W8R2 again on Sunday. After the extra rest day I was able to complete the run (Yay!).

So this meant on Sunday I was a run behind. I don't like being behind, so this evening, feeling good, fit and raring to go, I decided to break the rules and forgo the rest day and hammer out another 28 minutes.

Thirty eight minutes later, back in my hotel room and I'm glad I did. I think running through the north Yorkshire countryside helped spur me on, and as a result W8R3 is complete.

So now I am just a day behind schedule, with W9's runs now planned for Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Livin' life on the edge as a Rest Day Rebel now :)

Defo Saartjie, I do not in any way advocate, endorse, encourage or indeed promote missing rest days. It can slow down recovery and increase the risk of injury. But this evening, when the body said yes, I had to go for it.

😂

😮. Oh Julian. Ha ha! Good for you if you felt you could & feel OK now. Don't overdo it though. You don't want to end up on the IC. Go gently.
