Had to decide today wether this pain in my knee would allow me to run.. W8r1 was a day late already.. been resting and icing..and gentle excercise.. took on board as much advice as I could..
But decided GO out and give it a go.. So close to graduation.. I know I'm not in a hurry to finish it but feel so strong otherwise..
Took it really slow and ten mins in it was easing.. kept it really slow. Kept repeating that in my head..rather complete with my knee able to compete another day !
So happy I managed..and wait now and see how it bears up during today and rest day tomorrow
Had to ask the Rignold for some advice.. So thanks again big man.. Will promise to be good and listen to your wise words..
All being well though..w8r2 on Friday

Take care Sparky. Running will wait if you are feeling pain. x
I share your pain! My knees are really sore too, I've put off running this morning because of it, which is frustrating because I have enough time and it's not chucking it down.
Did you do anything special to help? I've been slathering them in ibuprofen gel at night (Mr W is a very lucky man!) but I'm not sure if it's helping or not.
I'm aiming for W8R2 tomorrow or Friday, then off to France, so I'll miss your graduation run :o(
Hi Pam.. Ooh I think I'm going to have to take time out till my knee is much better..took ibrufien and paracetamol before the run... and then later on in the afternoon..it felt not bad... till I woke at 2am thismorning for a pee.. and could hardly walk ..was much worse was planning on taking two rest days.. but the way I feel now..I'm not going to chance any further injury hopefully yours will not be as bad.. I fear my graduation may be a lot further than planned so gutted as I am really enjoying this..
You take it easy and don't be as daft as me.. if your in pain.. don't run..
Enjoy France.. .. x have a brilliant time.. let's hope we both on the ment for your return.. x
