I’ve done 3 virtual races. I really enjoy them - gives me something to aim for, opportunity to support a charity - and most importantly...you get a nice bit of bling! I’d give them a goπŸ‘

There are several different sites. I've tried a couple and they've been good I.e. Easy to sign up and pay for with quick delivery of the important bling which has always been of good quality. Good for motivation/something to aim for, especially for a lone runner, and gives back to charity (lots of which are the smaller ones that don't get a lot of publicity) - what's not to like πŸ˜€.

I liked the charity aspect too,Im never going to be a huge fundraiser so I'll quietly do my little bit to help πŸ˜€

Ooo interesting!! I’ve never heard of these and as I work nights, parkruns are pretty much impossible for me. Details please?

I have done one so far and have another two booked! I like doing them as there’s no pressure and the medal that arrived in the post was really nice πŸ˜€

Hi Bridget do you do a combination of things or do you just run? x

I just run very slowly but it makes you keep going as you have to send evidence that you’ve done it 😊I use virtual runner and they were easy to use and the medal was great!

Oldfloss,I guess you're probably a seasoned super duper runner πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ

My options for the race ive applied for go from a 1 mile run (easy) then straight to a 10 mile run (av a word!) I know I can combine with walking and cycling which I do a lot of but I want to run these, when you started them did you do split sessions with your runs to build up the miles? x

I'm doing at the moment, it came up on my fb page randomly a few weeks ago.

I bought the c25k medal πŸ₯‡ from there last week 😊

They are a good insentive, Ive shown my 8 year old son the medals πŸ₯‡ for different distances in running/bike rides/walks and he's totally into it now.

Got him away from the iPad gaming etc worked a treat. The only thing is he's hooked on sports now so something everyday for the whole family πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Šwether I like it or not 😁
