I can’t believe I’m actually managing to run for 5 minutes, I’ve struggled all through but am determined to push myself. I actually enjoyed it today for the first time.
The feeling when you get home is fantastic, I’m feeling much healthier although I have a long way to go. I don’t seem to be losing any weight but I’m sure that will come.
I have found that concentrating on my breathing helps me to not think too much about the actual running. I’ve also had some aches in my arms but realised today that I’ve been clenching my fists so I’m also concentrating on trying to relax my hands when I’m running.
Also happy to say I’ve had no more chest pains, just my legs which I expect.
I think I’m actually going to do this!!!

I’m on week 8 and haven’t noticed any weight loss really ( but I’m not counting calories). What I have noticed is how much more toned everything is and I definitely feel a bit less fixated by the number on the scale!
I’m trying to keep the pace slow as I had chest pains in week 2 and I took on board the advice everyone gave me on this forum and it seems to have done the trick.
Massive well done, you're doing so well to keep going! I remember sleeping really badly the night before I had to run for 5 minutes, I was that nervous! You can do it
I'm hating week 4 at the moment so I've decided to do 2 weeks on Week 4 (so 6 runs) until it feels a bit easier before progressing. I've loved it up to now but a combination of other factors (mainly tiredness from other activities) mean that Week 4 is hard. But keep going, as I will.
