I completed W1R1 yesterday and it was a challenge which sounds pathetic but I wheeze at the best of times so I really struggled at running, im hoping to improve throughout the weeks. Wish me luck for the 9 week challenge!!

Well done for starting. I think that first run is really hard. But the next one will be easier and although there will be challenging runs you’ll slowly build confidence and be able to push yourself. Good luck.

Welcome! It’s not pathetic- most people find it a challenge. 😀

If you are wheezy just make sure that you go really slowly- you could keep your stride short & imagine that you are doing a light warm up jog throughout. If you use inhalers take it with you at least until you know how your lungs are behaving during a run. 😄

Yeah I made the mistake of not taking my inhaler with me yesterday and had to pause Sarah Milligan and have a 15 minute break 😂

Ah yes, sympathy. My son quickly learned to take his inhaler with him at all times... although there was the memorable occasion when he fell off a paddle board & the inhaler rapidly disappeared to the bottom of the lake! 😃

Well done for your week 1 first run I have just finished W1 and I know how you feel I was terrible on my first run unable to breath hugging and puffing but run 2 was much better keep going as I am do it for yourself

Well done. Those first steps are the hardest in so many senses. Lots of us here struggled with Week 1 without the added issue of asthma. Remember your inhaler and enjoy the next one.
