Hi to all
Just starting out, 42, dodgy ankles, have not ran in years & overweight.
But hey figured this would be a good challenge, I do go to the gym or a walk when I can (which means not often), but starts next week, hopefully successfully

Hi. I’m 45, a fellow newbie (I’ve just finished week one), overweight, have never run before and have dodgy knees - why are we doing this? Because we are going to feel great after each run, we will feel fitter and have more energy, and maybe lose a few inches. You can and will do it
I'm new to C25k and I am also overweight too! I would love to follow you on your journey, wishing you nothing but the best
Everyone was a just started ,
You have certainly come to the right place for support. People are just amazing 😊
Me 57 over weight when I started , I am now on wk 9 /2 so I have two runs to go to graduation 😊it's taken me 12 weeks to get this far 30 minutes I can run for now 😳yes that's right 30 whole minutes 😊😉😂

Welcome and well done you... check out this link and follow the great advice there...we are here beside you and will support and advise you... all you need to do is take it slow and steady
We have all started somewhere!! And well done for starting! Good luck. 👍👍👍
Well done, I am just end of wk 2 so not far ahead of you but I am thoroughly enjoying it, we will do this
Hiii! I’m the same age as you and started in January with the scales on the unkind side of heavy!! I graduated about a month ago and have toned up loads. (I follow the slimming world plan too) I can honestly say it’s the best thing I’ve ever done...both for my physical and mental health. Embrace the program, go for it and keep posting to let us know how you’re doing! (This forum is non judgmental and amazingly supportive 👍🏻) 🤗
I can give you 30 years and made it - if I can do it, anyone can - enjoy the experience - it will make a huge difference to your life....
Thank you everyone for the very kind words of support, it is much appreciated
