I honestly can’t believe I’m posting this, I never thought I’d be able to run 5km or for 30minutes.
After completing 5km on Monday and Tuesday this week in just over 30minutes I set out ready to hit that magic 29:59.
First 3km were great and pace was nice and consistent, hitting 3km in 17:33.
I then carry on trying to maintain a nice steady pace but I then reach a steep hill, and I really begin to struggle. I reach the top of the hill at a super slow pace, seriously puffing and clock in my 4th Km in 6:35. (24:08 overall).
I glance at my phone and tell myself I’m not missing out on 30minutes because of a few seconds, so I dig deep to finish on a high and BAM I complete the final Km in 5:38 meaning a final time of 29:47!
To those that are just starting out or are struggling to keep motivated,keep it up, you can definitely do it! Keep putting one foot in front of the other and you’ll be amazed at what incredible things you can do!
