My main reason for doing Couch to 5k was to take part in this event, which I am doing on Sunday. I have done it previous years mostly walking, feeling a bit intimated by the runners. I am on W7R1, managed 5K yesterday in 40 mins so feeling hopeful. Good luck to anyone else taking part in these events.

Good luck for your event. Be kind to yourself, at week 7 you will have to temper your start to keep going. It is so easy to come out like crazy then feel floored not long after. So start at your own pace and keep reminding yourself that it is your event and your doing great you don’t have to keep up with the people in the front. Most of all have fun. Rfc x

My aim would be to try to do as much of it running as I can. Maybe walk the first 5 mins and all of the competitive ones will be away?
My very limited experience is that absurdly competitive runners aren’t interested in us slow coaches and everyone else is there for the enjoyment and will encourage you along. Don’t be put off - you are doing a great thing taking part.
