Aha moment

Had a talk with one of my trauma surgeon bosses, who’s a runner (I have the best job and bosses).

He thinks my legs feeling wobbly and my left leg issues (quadriceps and groin acting up) because I’m going too fast (and I thought it was slow already, story of my life 😂).

He advised to focus more on my heart rate and don’t go over a certain number.

Happy with his advice! Tonight yoga and a bit of light weight training. W5R2 on Saturday.

Go slower is the most common piece of advice given on this forum.

Slow and steady is the consistent forum advice. Glad another runner has advised similar.

I already felt like going really slow.

It was an advice from the app (Michael Johnson), I was most pleased with and took to heart as of week 1. 😁

I’ve even pointed this out to others, newer to the C25K app. 😂

Shows to tell I’m going too fast, even in a slow mode.

My boss specified the app advice, by telling me to focus on my heart rate as a ‘speedometer’, instead of what my treadmill says.

So I’m learning on the go yet again.

I love how the runners community (the app, this forum, people I know personally) all compliment each other and each other’s advice so well! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
