Exactly same place and feelings as me. I'm really shocked. The running thing has never been something I wanted to try, I always thought runners were crazy, but I need a new exercise I used to swim but my local pool closed a year ago and the new one is not convenient for me so I've done nothing! I decided that I couldn't knock running until I'd given it a go and as couch to 5k is 9 weeks I commited myself to giving those 9 weeks a shot.

W1R1 was awful, I went too fast and it hurt, I dreaded run 2. But I came on here got some great advice and absolutely loved run 2. I've just set my alarm for 6am tomorrow for run 3 and I'm really looking forward to it. I hope this is the start of a love of running.

I've literally just completed W1R2. I'm pleasantly surprised that it was slightly easier than the first run. Roll on Saturdays run.

Yes the first one was a shock to the system so was also glad to find it easier already after just one run!

I hope it continues to get easier for you and it did for me but don't be surprised if you have the odd bad run.
