I look forward to every run and this one was no different. I ran at a slow pace for the 8 minutes and am 😃👍happy.

Any tips on the next few weeks would be great.

No tips I’m afraid but I’m doing W5R2 tomorrow morning - and looking forward to it also! It’s weird how my new obsession (one of them) is this programme! 53 years old and never run before - now I can happily say I love it and can’t wait to reach the next step! :)

It’s a little addictive don’t you think 🤔.

I do! Did my W5 R2 this morning (early) and changed my route - my batteries ran out of my headphones which caused me to stress a bit, but ploughed on through and finished quite comfortably in the end! When do you do run 3? Mine is on Friday - trying not to stress about it! :)

My tip is to look at the total duration of the workouts, not just at the running intervals.

You did not run for eight minutes.............you ran for sixteen, with a five minute brisk walk in the middle...........total, twenty one minutes of continuous movement between warm up and cool down. This is a longer duration than W5R3 for instance, which I suspect may be at the back of your mind.

Taking the advice I give above, you will see that W6R1 increases the overall duration, for the first time since W3, which explains why many people have trouble with it. Disregarding the effort that brisk walking expends is a fatal flaw in most people's perceptions of the workouts.

None of this is accidental, the whole programme is very carefully devised, and it has brought you this far.

That said, it is your incredible body, adapting and developing to cope with the demands that has done the hard work. So, in a nutshell, trust the plan and believe in yourself.

Just keep doing what you have been; believing in the programme and putting one foot in front of the other and you'll be amazed where it takes you! 👍😉

I've just run this one this morning! I felt like I could happily keep running and for the first time believed that I was going to make 20 minutes on Friday =]
