I just want to say thank you to this forum who I anonymously used for advice over the past weeks. I'm finally nearing the end of my c25k journey but posts here kept me going when my bloody-mindedness was failing, particularly week 3 (when I was suffering calf pain) and week 6 (when I was suffering week 6!). I've been lucky as our local council has run a (free) group run twice a week on our local sport track so I've had an external incentive to just go out there and do it. Tonight is my first 30 minute run, then a week on Saturday we are supposed to take part in a local parkrun.
I'm the slowest on the track but I do as Laura tells me and make sure I "run" at a pace I can keep to. This is my fourth attempt at this - I've a slipped disc and the last few times I've got to the 20 minute run and it's kicked off sciatica and back pain but this time it's been bearable. I did find myself losing power toward the end of the 28 minute run, though, so it might be that 30 minutes without walking is my limit. I don't mind that, though, as a couple of minutes walking I will probably be able to run again.

Good luck with Week 9, do take it steady, go slowly so as not to tense your shoulders and back. Head up, shoulders down, short stride and ease into it..
Let us know how it goes so we can cheer you on the podium as you get your badge.😊x
Good luck with W9, but congratulations on carrying on with running despite the challenges of a slipped disk. Looking forward to seeing your graduation post!
