I had big ambitions for a 6 mile trail loop. I forgot that many of our rural foothpaths are not maintained and some even lost to the undergrowth.
I still ended up doing 6+ miles but mainly circling around looking for missing paths and fighting my way through brambles and nettles, some chest height. There comes a point when you've been stung you may as well carry on but my poor legs ended up with nettle stings on my bramble cuts on further stings!! I'll find a clearer route next time. Meanwhile my skin is still jumping. π€£

It was/is. I suffer with hayfever so get a bit of an allergic reaction too! Tepid bath, cooling moisturiser and now aloe vera. General swelling reduced but even redder now where the actual scratches/stings are.
I don't really regret it but it does smart!!!π€£π€£
ACV (apple cider vinegar) cheap as chips from the pet shop as itβs sold for poultry
Itβs excellent for nettles stings and chilli burn
You could dab on some wine vinegar or even ordinary vinegar. If you're not sure of your route wear longer pants! Iβve ended up in very long wet grass on a forgotten footpath and glad of me long tights π
I noticed tin the last couple of days that the rain has made everything grow like crazy. Nice to have wet foliage when hot but Man those nettles are terrible!
Just seen this post Jojo...I fell out of a tree into nettles when I was 8 years old and had legs like that.... I can still remember that tingling..really uncomfortable and throbbing... poor you.
Hope you are feeling a bit better today. Sending a hug (())π―xx
