Did a ParkRun on Saturday with my lovely 11 year old grandson Daniel and got a whole series of PB's on Strava. Then, yesterday, my rest day, my ankle started hurting and getting hot. By evening it had swelled up and I could hardly walk on it. SO cross! I'm away from home and can't see a GP or physio till Wednesday. Bang goes my Race for Life next weekend I suspect. Feeling very grumpy indeed.. Guess I will have to revert to swimming for a while...
Ow ow ow!!: Did a ParkRun on Saturday with my... - Couch to 5K
Ow ow ow!!
Ouch! That sucks big time!! And particularly with your race for life being next weekend. But I think you're right - if it hurts that much, you need to rest it. And ice it. And take it easy on the ankle.
But hey, swimming is not a bad workout
Oh no! sorry to hear about your injury. I hope it settles quickly for you. Good luck.
So sorry to hear, I agree out, with the ice and treat it with some TLC. Take care.
I have this scenario, which keeps happening every time I do a longer run. Most annoying as I have a race booked as well, and the training is going pants!
Keep taking the tablets, and resting the ankle Turnturtle. Not much else to be done I don't think
So lovely you can run with your grandson. By the size of his smile, he obviously enjoyed it!
But how awful about the ankle. Hope it settles quickly.
I found some amazing stick on freeze patches which work by some chemical reaction rather than by sticking in the freezer. I put these on under a couple of elasticated flight socks and I am halfway to being cured! I'll swim for the rest of the week and see how I feel by Saturday....
