Well I did it thanks to my daughter who was there encouraging me. Had cramp on second run but walked it off, I can’t lie it was hard the worst was not in control of my breathing I found that hard. But I DID IT🏃♀️🏃♀️

Don't underestimate what an achievement it is. Very, very well done. The breathing comes, if you can slow it down, like as slow as you can whilst keeping the running movement. You can do this, we've a similar start point so absolute respect to you.
Well done 👍🏻 just go slower as slow as you can that’s what got me feeling like I was breathing air instead of molten lava 😃
Well done! The first step of the first run is the hardest one to do. Good luck with run 2!
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
The guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Enjoy your journey
Congratulations! I've just done my first run and it was sooo hard but I wish I had someone to do it with because that's supposed to help motivation wise as you be got someone cheering you on and you wanna keep up with them even if your out of breath and just want to stop for a rest hehe
It was hard first time ever I have jogged but it’s my daughters wedding in October so I have a massive goal ahead of me xx
Where are u based I’m in Bridgend south wales
Lancaster near the lake district
I've always wanted to go to Wales
Ohhh that’s a shame if u were closer we could run together you are good to do it on your own my daughter was a rock last night she has been running for 6 months started from no excerise now she runs up to 7 miles
Well done!
Well done.. check out the link from IannodaTruffe and enjoy!
Brilliant! Very very well done 👏🏻👊
Well done!
For me at least, doing everything to distract myself from what is going on in my breathing works best. As soon as I think about it, I'm lost.
I'm in Swansea, live just two minutes from the seafront so am lucky to have a perfect and mostly flat route. I'm just restarting C25K for the nth time having put on 2 stone and become unfit due to work/study stress and no exercise since January. Already did an "unofficial" walk-run on Friday because someone organised an event I really wanted to support, but the official W1R1 will hopefully be today, although I have to wait for an Amazon delivery first.
Ohh well done for getting back on it I’m in Bridgend do not far from you I’m 59 and very overweight my daughter is getting married in October abroad so I have been on weight watchers for 6 weeks and so far have lost 14lbs . Still a lot to lose but I’m taking small steps at a time. I am starting this as I am so unfit all tho I work full time and on the go all the time. I had my first run last night found it hard I could not breath at one point! Lol but I did keep going till I finished it so really pleased.
