I started my c25k journey 11 months ago and remember those 1st runs were 30 seconds seemed like 2 days and I finished a hot sweaty mess (for those interested read my early posts to get my back story)
The support and encouragement I got (and continue to get) from the mentors on here got me through, I was an over weight ex smoker, had high blood pressure and my cholestral wasn't good (but other than that was doing ok lol)
TODAY, well I'm not quite the racing snake I hope to be but I'm getting there, my cholestral now reads 4.5 and my blood pressure is normal (no medication) and tomorrow I run my 1st half marathon yep this little old pot bellied running machine takes part in the Derby half marathon
So if this little old (60) pot bellied running machine can do this so can you, just remember slow and steady with feet kissing the ground and you'll not go far wrong.
Oh and the lady in the picture is my mum and she'll be in my heart every step of the way tomorrow, love you mum
