What an awful run - if you can call it that. That was the worst I have felt and done throughout this programme. I found myself walking. My phone hasn't even registered it as running!

Will definitely stick to early morning runs from now on. Too hot tonight. Don't know when the next one will be as I am going on holiday on Sunday. Might try whilst away. See how it goes.

Happy weekend all ๐Ÿ˜

I was the same too on that run?! Itโ€™s just too warm as well. Everyone prefers to run at different times but Iโ€™m with u on this- far better in morning & thatโ€™s wat Iโ€™m sticking to. Good luck.

Donโ€™t call it an awful run, just a practice run. You can run it for real in a couple of days.

Do take your running kit with you on holiday. Running in a different place can be so rewarding and I find I get so lost in enjiyingctge new surroundings I donโ€™t notice the minutes ticking by.

Happy holiday and happy running.

Thanks Razouski. I will take my trainers with me ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Your next run will be better. I prefer running early in the morning, running in the evening just feels odd.

Take your runners with you on your hols, sometimes it's nice to get 30 minutes to yourself ๐Ÿ™‚. Don't worry about how fast you run etc, just run and a bit have a bit of you time.

Good luck, your next run will be great!

This was my worst run too, I donโ€™t know why. Put it down to experience, there will be good runs and bad runs. I am now on wk 9 run 2 and wk 7 run 2 is a distant memory. Trust in the program, youโ€™ve already come so far, the next run will be fine.๐Ÿ‘

Thanks. This one seems to be a stumbling block for quite a few of us. Glad I am not the only one! ๐Ÿ‘

My W7r2 was terrible too! I gave up and had to do it again. Itโ€™s a tricky week. I did much better second attempt and have finished the week now. Try again. Youโ€™ll have a much better time next time.

Cheers. I will keep going. Determined to finish the programme and hopefully carry on running afterwards. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

I did exactly the same on that run, felt as if I had gone backwards. Stick with it. I repeated the run, same time of day and all went well. I guess we all get the odd run that doesnโ€™t go how you want it to. A week on and have never felt stronger. Youโ€™ll be fine ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks and yes I suppose we do. Looking back now I should have left it until this morning but nevermind. Hindsight is a wonderful thing! ๐Ÿ˜…

Awww don't fret โ€ฆ everyone said week 6 was the bug and I got through that only to be felled by second run of week 7 too! It was one bad run, but still a run so the next one will be fine. Let it go, reflect on how far you've come and will go and finish the job in hand โ€ฆ you can do it! :-)

Keep your chin up - everyone has a bad run sometimes.... too hot, too cold, bad sleep, wrong food, dehydrated etc the list is huge!

The important thing is you went out, you ran, and you kept going till the end. There is always tomorrow!

How true. Thanks. ๐Ÿ‘

I felt the same with W7R1. Did it on a very humid day (although it was in the gym). R2 was better. About to do R3 tomorrow. Good luck with R3.

Hey don't lose heart we all have bad running days and especially whilst it's been so warm. I also go running in the morning about 9.30 & I've been running under the trees next to the park to stay cooler as it is hard.

Stick with it enjoy your holiday then try again ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜€

Thatโ€™s funny I have managed every run ,thought it was hard and at the end have said not as bad as I thought. Not so with 7:2 have done it twice now and not satisfied with the way Iโ€™ve done it! Going to try it next week probably Mon /Tuesday. I think itโ€™s mental not physical with me I find 25 mins so boring and all Iโ€™m doing is waiting for it to end. I need to find some thing to think about to pass the time.

You have a point there about waiting for it to end! ๐Ÿ˜Š

For some reason I found all of week 7 really hard but then sailed through weeks 8 & 9. Just keep going slow and steady and you'll get there.

Ghaghdog profile image
GhaghdogGraduateโ€ข in reply totriumphbabe

Thanks. I will get there. To be honest apart from the shock to the system at the beginning this is the first bad run for me. Can't complain I suppose.

You never know, you might be coming down with an illness. There is a point before we actually break out in whatever it is, when we are just generally below par without really knowing why yet.

That was also my worst run of the programme. Week 8 will be better, honest! Wk 7 seems to be an issue for a lot of people, I wonder why? But yes, it gets better :) Donโ€™t worry, and keep up the good work!
