That's the one I've been waiting for.

So, after an extended break over the weekend and what I found to be a challenging week 7, I eventually set out for my W8R1 last night.

I don't usually run in the evenings, preferring the cooler early morning runs as a rule, but I needed to get back on track, so an evening run it was.

This was "THE RUN", that moment I'd been waiting for since starting the longer runs at the end of week 6. Yes the heat was a little more challenging, but I found myself out in the fields without a care in the world and a huge grin on my face for the entire 28 Minutes (and more...I just didn't want to stop). I'm sure I'll have some more challenging runs to come in the future, but hey I'm going to revel in this amazing feeling of it all just falling into place.

I still have a grin like a Cheshire cat this morning and can't wait for tomorrows run.

Happy running everyone and good luck whatever stage you are at "YOU CAN DO THIS".

Did my first Week 8 run this morning - a great feeling; I even managed to step up the pace for the last five minutes. Feeling very proud of myself!

You deserve to feel very proud of yourself and well done for stepping it up for the final five.

I was waiting for the 1 minute left anouncement and was then going to try for a sprint finish, but it never came and instead got a "Well done you've done it". So as I still had something left to give I just went for it after the 28 minutes.

Well done! It’s brilliant when you get that feeling during a run. Enjoy the last few.

Ah that's brilliant. I have this one on Sunday. I'm not getting the emotional highs after runs now, more a contented 'yep, that went well, when is the next one?' which is very satisfying 😀

This was the first emotional high for a while, but I'm just as chuffed with a satisfying yep, that went well.😃
