Having to give the running a bit of a rest for a while 😞 was diagnosed with Ménière’s disease on Saturday..extremely gutted but hopefully I’ll be back in the game soon once my vertigo is under control with meds.

Fingers crossed for you, and hope the meds mean it isn’t too debilitating for you.

My husband has this. It was very bad for a few years and then went into remission or something. He still has the odd spell but only very minor and no medication. We know it can come back at anytime, but so far so good. Hope you are better soon!

Grotty news..:( I have had this twice through my life.. horrible. Rest up and know it will pass. Mine did not last for that long...minor I suspect, but extremely unpleasant.

We hope to have you back with us soon :)

Sad for you, but you will get back in it for sure. In the meantime rest up, and catch up here with you soon without doubt.

So sorry to hear your news as that must be a real blow to you after working so hard.

Hopefully the meds will help & you can resume the programme, I hope so.

Good luck & take care

Sorry to hear your news MrRfc thought he had that before he found out he was coeliac. You are wise to put running on hold until you get stabilised. Take care of yourself. Rfc x.

Hi Jaime,

I can totally understand how you must be feeling. 3 years ago I suffered sudden hearing loss and chronic vertigo/ labrynthritis. It took me a while to learn to cope with the room spinning sensations, but I had some helpful VRT and just had to keep persevering. I do still have difficult times, and some conditions exacerbate the symptoms such as changes in lighting and changes in floor/ ground surface.

I don’t have meniereres so I know it’s different, but I can appreciate what you’re going through. In fact I had a rather nasty tumble while running last week but I’m determined not to let it out me off

Hope you find a way of coping soon.

Sending hugs (albeit rather wobbly ones).

Not seen any of 13 reasons why but I’ve heard good reviews

It is very good - I watch it with my daughter- it might’ve been a bit insensitive of me tho - it is quite depressing. Maybe something more cheerful while u get better!

I might give it a watch still, I’m starting smart TMS therapy on Monday so hopefully that will help me with the anxiety and depression x

Bless you - you really aren't having a good time of it right now. I have acupuncture for my depression & it's really helped but I know it's not for everyone. Keep in touch & let us all know how you are getting on.
