Word bling - how to get it

Just join the very friendly bunch of us at the back of the parkrun crowd.

I’ve decided that the old medal bling is not for me, I’m only doing parkruns because I love getting my results email that is concrete and public proof that I ran. However, on the plus side I am now collecting word bling and those golden nuggets are very precious.

1 I think you are admirable - said to me when I observed that someone run walking looked as if they would still beat me to the finish

2 Amazing said to me by someone who was very pleased with their first park run and asked me if it was my first and how old was I

3 Fantastic- you’ve run the whole way I don’t think I’ve ever done that said to me by someone eminently faster than me

I aim to collect one a week and because they make me feel so great I’ll be giving out as many as I can too.

What a great idea! It's such a supportive environment isn't it?

Couple of milestones to complete - getting my son round it and going sub 30 - then I'm going to volunteer. The marshalls are so lovely clapping us all on and encouraging us to keep going that I would like to experience that aspect of it too x

Yes , I would reccommend it to anyone afraid to be seen running you get nothing but encouragement
