W5R3... 20min ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

โ€ข26 Replies

I did it... but my god, that was really really challenging. I'm collapsed on my couch feeling completely knackered. Is anyone else suffering? Dizzy, crampy and so sweaty... but overall thrilled that I've managed to push on and finish. Yeah! ๐ŸŽ‰

If you have the heavy, very humid conditions that we have here, you have done tremendously well!

Brilliant!

Thanks Millsie-J. I'm on a business trip near Finnish Lapland. Gorgeous weather here. Temp: 13ยฐc, Humidity: 44%, Wind: 16km/h. We have around 20 hours of daylight at the moment ๐Ÿ˜Š

Not quite that far up Sofabunny. I'm in a place called Jakobstad. Gorgeous little village. 20k population. It's a big change from London. Absolutely loving it. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Well done CalypsosParadise, I did that run last week, I was tired and sweated a little, it was a cool sunny morning, temp about 13c/55f, I had water with me so I did not feel too bad, in fact I felt very well indeed despite having only 3 hours of sleep thinking about that run.

Well done you AIMorr! ๐ŸŽ‰

Well done! Remember to slow down and slow down again as the runs get longer. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

โ€ข in reply toTasha99

Yes. Thanks for that Tasha99. I'm finding it tricky to find my pace. Must remember to slow down.

Some runs are just like that, Calypso. Meh. But you did it, and that shows grit. But cramps? You drinking lots of water the day before your run? That can help. Good work on getting it done and wishing you an easier one next time!

โ€ข in reply toSadie-runs

Hmmmm.... You're right Sadie. I hardly drank anything yesterday and had a fairly big night out last night. Not a great combination ahead of my Sunday run (and the 20min run at that). I'll remember to keep well hydrated. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I'm impressed that you've managed the run. You need to hydrate properly, and that means regularly drinking water, and that would mean at least 2 or 3 litres, sometimes more. If not, you will experience fatigue, muscle 'burn', cramps, in other words, you cannot run. So sweaty? Your heart worked overtime just to keep it all together. Please, avoid that.

Will do MrRun! Thanks.

I finished w5r3 today too and it was really humid and warm so that probably had an effect. I am tired too. Really well done you ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿฅ‡
