I did it... but my god, that was really really challenging. I'm collapsed on my couch feeling completely knackered. Is anyone else suffering? Dizzy, crampy and so sweaty... but overall thrilled that I've managed to push on and finish. Yeah! ๐
W5R3... 20min ๐ฑ: I did it... but my god, that... - Couch to 5K
W5R3... 20min ๐ฑ
If you have the heavy, very humid conditions that we have here, you have done tremendously well!
Brilliant!
Thanks Millsie-J. I'm on a business trip near Finnish Lapland. Gorgeous weather here. Temp: 13ยฐc, Humidity: 44%, Wind: 16km/h. We have around 20 hours of daylight at the moment ๐
Sounds wonderful..is that near Father Christmas's house at all?
I start week 5 tomorrow..scary ๐ฑ๐๐ฑ
Not quite that far up Sofabunny. I'm in a place called Jakobstad. Gorgeous little village. 20k population. It's a big change from London. Absolutely loving it. ๐
Well done CalypsosParadise, I did that run last week, I was tired and sweated a little, it was a cool sunny morning, temp about 13c/55f, I had water with me so I did not feel too bad, in fact I felt very well indeed despite having only 3 hours of sleep thinking about that run.
Well done you AIMorr! ๐
Well done! Remember to slow down and slow down again as the runs get longer. ๐๐ฝ
Yes. Thanks for that Tasha99. I'm finding it tricky to find my pace. Must remember to slow down.
Some runs are just like that, Calypso. Meh. But you did it, and that shows grit. But cramps? You drinking lots of water the day before your run? That can help. Good work on getting it done and wishing you an easier one next time!
Hmmmm.... You're right Sadie. I hardly drank anything yesterday and had a fairly big night out last night. Not a great combination ahead of my Sunday run (and the 20min run at that). I'll remember to keep well hydrated. ๐
LOL! Thatโll be it then! Water darling, not wine, okay?!
๐๐๐๐๐โค๏ธ๐๐ผ
I'm impressed that you've managed the run. You need to hydrate properly, and that means regularly drinking water, and that would mean at least 2 or 3 litres, sometimes more. If not, you will experience fatigue, muscle 'burn', cramps, in other words, you cannot run. So sweaty? Your heart worked overtime just to keep it all together. Please, avoid that.
Will do MrRun! Thanks.
I finished w5r3 today too and it was really humid and warm so that probably had an effect. I am tired too. Really well done you ๐คธโโ๏ธ๐ฅ
Thanks so much 3550TN. And well done to you too! ๐
Fantastic achievement! Got my 20 minutes Tuesday so am getting up early and getting out in the cool weather. Hopefully that will help me get through it in one piece!!
That's brillant JHill! It feels really great to have gotten this far doesn't it! You'll get there. ๐
Well done! Of all days aswell itโs sooooooo humid. Keep at it. Yey you! ๐๐ฝ๐พ
Thanks so much Claire ๐
