Lovely cool evening for W6R2. Very happy that I was able to keep going and looking forward to getting W6R3 under my belt on Sunday and moving into W7.
Sadly my husband had to drop out tonight with a knee injury so it looks like I'll be on my own from now on but I'm determined to keep going!
Also hit my weight loss target today, I have shifted three and a half stone since Christmas with healthy eating and exercise... but must confess that I'm having a cheeky glass of wine to celebrate!

"Stop drinking only water and use a little wine instead,"..maybe we should not take too much notice of the advice from Timothy ( OEB)... but.. the odd sip
Very well done you..keep it slow and keep it steady! Hope husband heals soon
On a hot day, its always cool under the trees and the bird and squirrels are delightful. A nice steady run around the woods never fails to lift my spirits 😊
Thank you Bobthedog 😊 I am sure that you will have aced week 7 this weekend!
Hubby ran w6r3 with me tonight successfully and found it easier on his knee to just keep steadily going rather than the stop-start of the run/walk sequence. W7R1 for us on Tuesday 😁
Thanks! Its been a very necessary journey to make really. It was no fun being unfit and fat at 60 in June last year. I hated the way I felt and the way that I looked. No-one could do it for me so I had to make lifestyle changes with the aim of being slimmer and fitter by my next birthday. Hoping to graduate just before my birthday as that would be such a great gift to give myself!
I was 60 last year too and it does make you think of where you are and where you’d like to be. A change of lifestyle was definitely required to get fitter. I also decided I wanted to take part in the RNLI Santa run in 2018 as it looked so much fun.
Great to hear of your weight loss success - well done you. I too enjoyed run 2 probably more than any other - and it really motivated me for run 3 - the 25’ boggy so far, which I managed with a degree of relaxed ease last night in the cool early evening. I really believe I can do the 30’ now and build up a better pace over the next 3 weeks. Bring on Week 7
Thank you and love your can do attitude! Having determination and self belief really helps. I completed W6R3 tonight....hot and sweaty but not breathless . . .so yeah!! Bring on W7
Well done you! What a beautiful place to run. I did w6r2 this morning too. I found it quite hard because I pushed myself to run up a couple of hills - although these are Essex hills so probably just a gentle slope compared to most places in the country! It feels quite an achievement to have finished all the runs with walk breaks. Here's to w6r3!!
Well done! Your countryside sounds lovely. I havent faced the challenge of proper hills yet so impressed that you are tackling yours. Keep going! Its a great feeling at the end of W6R3 when you are pronounced to be a runner!!!
