A little speed after work... C25K+ Speed Podcast again

Well running friends, today was the last day of my working week. I do all my hours in 4 days, which is great, but it does mean by Thursday night I'm cream crackered!

However, I couldn't waste such a lovely evening, and this bank-holiday weekend I feel that rest days are even more important than usual for me, as I'm planning a nice 5k on Saturday morning if I'm brave. So anyway, off I went.

I noticed breathing was harder tonight, although I actually ended up running faster during the 5 minute run at the start than I actually did during the intervals. I peaked at 5'22" per k at one point in the first 5 minutes, which explains why I was out of breath. But I wasn't going to let a little thing like being out of breath stop me, even though I wanted to, so I completed the run. The speed podcast is nice and short, but flip it's hard work if you push yourself.

Still... another one in the bag, eh? I keep having to say it to myself: My name is Neil and I'm a runner. I still can't believe it to be honest...

Take care all!!

Neil :D

Good work, you! And lorks, you are fast! Which now and again is not a bad thing; I find it exhilarating to get out of puff occasionally.

You are doing so well, Neil. I am proud.

Thanks :) you are faster though, as I couldn’t sustain anything like that for a 5k!!

Maybe... I couldn’t possibly comment! Unless I’m brave enough to go for it, then I’ll comment :P
