Hi there, I'm new to HealthUnlocked and I'm running the C25K. I'm due to do my W4R1 today but I'm feeling very tired. I will do my run today but after a flying start in the first 3 weeks my motivation is now flagging! Has anyone got any tips? Cheers x

Make sure you are hydrated and that you have a banana or a light snack two hours before you run. One of the best prerun pick me ups is a cup of coffee. The dose of caffeine should lift you. You can do this! It gets easier and easier. Just think about how you will feel after you complete it!

Thanks for that. I have just had a cup of coffee and that's a great reason for me to have another one! I love my coffees but normally just have one a day. Maybe on run days I can have two! Yes, it's important to keep the end goal in mind and not forget why you're doing it!!

Water.. the very best thing for hydration.. and feel good factor:) There is some really interesting reading on coffee drinking too :)

The weather is affecting a few folk so changeable too.. so make sure you are maintaining a good healthy eating regime and getting your sleep too :)

Up the rest day exercise.. watch your hydration and maybe vary your route:) Sometimes a change really is as good as a rest!

The runs are getting longer so you need to make sure your strength and stamina are building Up alongside those legs:)
