Not being deterred!

My car has broken down, so my intentions to run at the gym well and truly down the pan. So, this morning I decided, it’s on the road I go. It’s no doubt silly, but thats another massive hurdle I have overcome today. Me, running and outdoors where everyone driving on the busy main road can see you in rush hour? Please! But I did it! 😁

Some days you just can’t get a break but I’m glad you powered through, well done!

Next time try running some trails or parks..........the difference to a treadmill is vast.

Well done.

Thanks so much Ian. I quizzed the boys this morning as they run regularly, but I’m a bit apprehensive about the isolation. Let’s just say, they didn’t sell it too well! Lol

I can see that hurdle and applaud you for taking it. I’m not there yet, but no doubt will be eventually. Well done that lady!

This is only week 1 run 2 Tjar! But, I just decided I’m going to have to get on that Road because I’m not giving up on myself. I wish you well on your journey too!💪🏽

Still, you’re running outside. That is amazing. No where near that. Go us!

Well done on finding the courage. I do the same, but started in the depths of winter and hoped that no-one would be able to see me in the dark. Then by the time it started to get lighter it felt normal - helped by buying some proper running leggings to replace the ancient ones with embarrassing holes ;-)

Ah Eiralas, that’s so inspiring thank you! You have made me chuckle! 😉 x

Hole-free leggings are a major boost to confidence. My last run ended in the most ridiculous sequence of events, so after that just running past or in front of people like a normal person will no longer seem in any way intimidating :-)

Well done. The fear of running “out there” is much worse than the reality!

Thank you Jay! I was thinking of just starting again when the car is fixed, then I thought, I don’t want to be reliant on having a car or a gym pass, when running is free and at anytime you choose. It didn’t make sense, so I had to go for it! 😂 I’m so glad that I did too!

Brilliant choice. I’m not keen on gyms (understatement) and the thought of doing this on a treadmill fills me with horror. Other people, being outside does the same. You now have the choice!

Well done for taking the plunge and running outside. I was really reluctant to run upside by after being dragged it by my daughter n week 6 there was no looking back.

well done, I love running outside because I have the concentration level of a sparrow, I admire the treadmillers amongst us, I think I would give up
