Week 4 run 2

Hi all. I’m jillyalex and started this app 4 weeks ago. I’m a fifty something who needs to lose some weight and get a bit fitter. Now in weeks 4 I’m really enjoying the routine. After a struggle on week 4 run 1 I have just completed run 2 and feel really good. Michael Johnston pushed me along. Feeling totally elated. Roll on Friday for the third run of the week. Loving this app. 🏃‍♀️

Hi That’s great to hear! When is your best time to run? I too am a 50 something - struggled early evening, but just completed W2R1 this morning and found it so much easier. Looking forward to the next. Enjoy your rest day tomorrow 👏🏻

Hi. My best time is definitely first thing in the morning. It gets me up and out. I’m doing most of my runs on the treadmill but have also done a couple outside. I find I can keep an eye on my pace on the treadmill. Well done on your run this morning.

Thanks - I agree re the treadmill- first time on one today, it was so much easier to judge my speed. I’m going to plan my runs first thing I think. Thanks for your inspiration 👍🏻

Think we must of started on the same day. I completed week 4 run 2 today. Have shocked myself at how much I can actually run. I’m 50 next week and have the 20 min run on my birthday. If I can manage that it will be the best birthday present I can give myself. Keep up the good work. X
