First post graduation run.

I really wasn’t looking forward to my first run without Jo for company and was thinking of reasons not to go...it’s too hot, bad day at work, not enough sleep, a huge slice of chocolate cake eaten this afternoon lying heavily on my stomach (I know, I know!) but my kids were driving me mad so I went out anyway! I can’t lie, it was tough to start with and I was thinking “I’ll stop in a minute, no one needs to know!” ... then at 15 minutes my Runkeeper told me that my pace was on track for a PB. So I carried on ...and it was still tough...but I got that PB. So I guess from now on it’s a case of “mind over matter”. I’m physically fitter but my mind needs to catch up a bit. A lesson learned for future runs!

Well done NJGam ! My first grad run tomorrow. Going to try it ‘naked’ - (without Laura) and try and enjoy it! Aiming for 5k. 😎

Lol, well have fun running naked!! I haven’t reached 5k yet but feel like I probably could. Will save that for a morning run when I’ve got more energy though. Good luck tomorrow. Let us know how you get on. 👍

Well done just proves how much you have improved X

Well Done on going out without a coach in your ear. I'm always amazed at the number of excuses I can come up with not to go out for a run. I never regret when I do 'though. I think you're right - it's mostly psychological now and building up slowly physically.
