What a difference!

So at the start of this programme I struggled to run for 60 seconds and every ‘failed’ run I was left feeling like I’m pathetic and I probably cried after about 50% of my run attempts.

Today I tried week 5 run 3, I didn’t manage it, what I did manage though was the first 9 minutes until I got a stitch and had to walk it off, I then ran the last 5 minutes.

And you know what? I feel amazing, I feel like Iv made a massive achievement and more than anything I feel damn proud and that’s after a ‘failed run’.

What a difference from the woman I was 6 weeks ago! Even if I don’t manage to get to running a solid 5k that difference had been worth every second.

Brilliant!! There's no such thing as a "failed" run. That's a really important lesson to learn - not sure I'm as sanguine as you about those. Every time we go out and put one foot in front of the other it's a success. Thanks for reminding us about that!!

Couldn’t agree more, there are no failed runs, you went out and did something and you didn’t sit on the couch 😊 I’m so glad you see that and are staying positive 👍

Keep going, this is your journey and with your outlook I’m sure you’ll definitely get to where you want to get to.

So pleased it’s all falling into place 🙂

Slow and steady is all As you keep going you will get stronger, who knows where your running will take you. It’s an interesting journey for sure 😃👍
