Anyone else frustrated at not being able to run everyday? I know it’s important to take a day off between runs but I don’t want to! I think I am addicted lol!

Tempted to Miss Rest Days
Slow running and rest days build legs. When your legs are fully built at around 18 - 24 month’s of regular running and observing rest days you can then go on a running streak if you wish. It’s about mileage on the legs. You’ll get there by some slow running as with this fab programme
Some fall by the wayside after graduation but others flourish and run a lot
I hope you will as it’s just such fun. Take care 👍🏃♀️
Not just important.. essential.
Taken from The post FAQ for all runners...not just Newbies
"The rest day from running is not negotiable, but does not have to be spent back on the couch again. When you run, unlike other exercises, you actually damage your muscles and the rest days are when they repair. Any non impact exercise, such as swimming, cycling, weights, Pilates or yoga will be beneficial to your overall fitness and to your running and will aid the repair and strengthening of muscles. The weeks of C25k do not have to coincide with calendar weeks. You may want to run every other day, or you may find you need more than one rest day between workouts…..both are fine."
Loads to do on rest days to help the running and use up all that energy you have.. walk, climb, garden, blitz the housework... do squats, strength and flex......core-strength and stamina exercise is essential as the runs get longer... everything helps so that you are in a fit state to keep up with the very newly forming running legs..
I often feel I do more on rest days that on my run days
Run on run days and do the other bit in between. Later, as @misswobble says....it may be a whole different story.. we are all different, and after a while we know whether it is a great idea or not to do certain things...
I have, after nearly three years running, just started. to do the odd runs, on consecutive days as part of my HM plan...often a short 1K after a longer run..11.25K yesterday and 1K this morning, it is helping me, and is part of a carefully planned programme ; I do listen to my body and I do take that second run gently..( I am an old snail )

Simple, if and as a novice, do not do it.
Read Neil’s post just a few days ago illegal consecutive days running.🤔
In particular read link from Mentor to Susan Paul in his reply to a previous post dug out by icklegui🤔👏👏
Noooooooooooo! Don’t do it Lulu. Rest in between runs
Any fool can go out there and run. The clever ones do it in a way that means they can keep doing it.
It's great to feel the itch and there are loads of useful things you can do with it: there's an NHS Strength and Flexibility podcast programme, or something comparable such as yoga or pilates, all manner of other lower impact activities. They don't detract from the running, they contribute. Although I think it is well worthwhile people learning how to be still as well as how to be active.
I did that in the beginning. What followed was knee and ankle flare ups, extensive and expensive therapies and approx 5 months of combined non running.
Your choice.
