I DID IT! . . . . . . I DID IT! . . . . . . . I DID IT!
WOW, if you would have asked me after last Thursday's run if I was ready for this one, I would not have been all that confident. But I did it!
If you are just starting W5 and being put off by what is coming up at the end of the week, don't be. You CAN do it. I even found NOT having walking breaks helpful. Yes helpful. By not slowing to a walking pace, I was able to get into my stride, get me breathing right and maintain a nice, steady pace. Twenty minutes later, your're done and feeling great!
Just starting on the program? Stick with it - you WILL surprise yourself.

Well done! Bet you are feeling amazing! I loved Wk5 R3 - 20 minutes continuous running which seems impossible before you start ... but the rush when you do it is great.
Think it was the turning point for me - when I actually knew I could get to 5k.
Enjoy the rest of the programme - though watch out for Wk6 R1 - I thought it would be a breeze - but the intervals felt hard going after 20 mins the run before.
You are now entitled to a man hug and a day spent feeling super smug and probably more excited than you have since your last run/wedding/birth of your children...
HAHAHA! Maybe not quite that exciting sallenson! But I did feel pretty damb GOOD! And yes there was a bit of a smug grin . . . once I'd got my breath back.
Sad to hear you weren't feeling better. Take heart that Man Flu is a genuine condition, no matter what the ladies say, and you need plenty of rest Get well soon!
