How can I see how far I’ve gone and can I see it on the map?

You can record your runs on Strava or Mapmyrun, which shows you distance and pace etc. Set the privacy settings though.. 😊x

If you're using a smartphone you have a few free options: Strava, MapMyRun and Endomondo are all good and straightforward to use and all available for apple and Android. You just need to remember to turn them on and off at the beginning and end of your sessions. But then you can join the rest of us in Sad Anorak Club.

Runkeeper is another one.

I sometimes just use google map and mark out my path to measure it, especially if your app crashes or you forgot to turn it on.
