I was terrified I’ll be honest but just done it, I slowed right down, made sure I’d had enough to drink and plodded on, barely above a walk, but I think the important thing is to get through the time, and breathe 😅 you can do it, good luck 😉

I have just done W5R3 this morning, having spent ages faffing about the house because I was sure it was going to be a disaster! And it wasn't. I would say to go really slowly and trust the programme and yourself. Sarah M told me half way through that it was a mental challenge rather than a physical one. That helped. Good luck!

Believe it or not you are ready. The program has been working through the last runs to get you ready for this run, my advice is start slowly and if you start to feel it is a bit much slow down some more, this run is totally about keeping going not pace so go as slow as you can. You will be fine.

totally agree, you are prepared and it certainly is getting over the mental hurdle. Relax and enjoy. I didn't listen to my normal music, I listened to a podcast, I got so involved with the story I forgot I was doing it lol

Break it down into smaller challenges: run 8 minutes (you've done that before), get to half way- (you've run more than you've got to go), another 5 minutes (you've done that since w4R1) then you're in the home straight (can't give up now).

Just keep visualising how pleased you will be with yourself at the end.

As everyone has already said, you are ready and speed is the key.

Your brain is trying to protect you from attempting something hard by convincing you this is impossible. It’s lying to you.

Make sure you are well hydrated the day before, avoid the heat, go off as slowly as you can whilst still getting both feet off the ground. You can always speed up later if you feel up to it.

I’ve just done W7R1, so my second 25 minute run in 3 days. The programme simply works. Be confident, but take it steady.

Good luck, and enjoy the amazing high you will get when this run ends.

W5R2=21 minutes between warm up and cool down.

W5R3=20 minutes between warm up and cool down.

Nice and slow, you can do it.

"the" 8 min run? Surely you mean "the two" 8 min runs in one workout. As IannodaTruffe always points out, the walking still takes energy too. So from 16 running + 5 walking to 20 in one go is within your reach - believe it! Start slowly. Trogdelight's breakdown sounds good too!

I did it this morning. As others have said the challenge is mental and as long as you pace yourself and don’t go all at it to start you can do it 😁 good luck!
