That’s what I said after my run today. Its been two weeks since I finished week 9 and I have been keeping up with my 3 x 30 minute runs and loving being able to do it. A beautiful Autumn day over here, so thought I’d try the Stepping Stone podcast with the lovely Laura. After 5 minutes of Laura counting 1 2 3 4 I couldn’t cope with her any more and turned her off. I aint built for speed! With my bottom lip trembling and a pout some people pay for, I thought good grief!, a few weeks ago I couldn’t run for 60 seconds, so I set my timer for 30 minutes, turned my music on and ran cos I’m a runner. Almost home when I went through the little park where a large group were celebrating a birthday with a BBQ coooor! sausages mmmmmmmm yummy. All was well again. No matter how slow we go or where we are on the programme we’re all runners, say it louder WE’RE ALL RUNNERS. Have a great week fellow 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♂️

Pleased you are enjoying your running.Keep doing so.
Maybe try Laura’s graduation podcasts again later.🤔
Just started using them, absolutely Laura is the best.💫🏃♀️💫
Having completed C25k with MJ🌟 and no music🙈, what was that about.🤔😂
Think I will have to try and build up slowly and as you suggest try again later, so wish I could have got the app over here I would have loved listening to Sarah Millican.
Yes continue to strengthen everything slowly as you are doing.👍
Two training plans on Strava, hill repeats and progression runs. You do them solo, no Laura ,but kept simple, different but it is all good.
Keep smiling and enjoying.
Well done you for keeping on with the 3 x 30 minutes running a week. That’s a pretty wonderful change in lifestyle so even if you never run faster/further than you do now, you’re doing well! But I bet you will run faster in time, with or without podcasts.
I agree! I graduated a few weeks ago, and have kept up the three times a week. Sometimes I find I can go on for longer ( up to 7k a couple of times so far) and I am getting very slightly faster ( but very slowly- my best is an average of 7m43secs per km) but sometimes I stop to breathe, sometimes I give up at 3.5, always I am pink faced and very tired by the end, and I am nowhere near 5k in 30 minutes and may never be! I don’t think it matters - at the beginning of this year I couldn’t run for 60 seconds without getting out of breath, and now I walk up escalators and run for up to 50 minutes. So don’t let anything get you down, it’s all progress, it makes you feel great, and you’re right, we are all runners !!
Thank you and yes I think 5km in 30 minutes will always be out of my reach. I just love running, has boosted my self esteem no end. Feels great.
Well done for keeping up the running. I use Strava to track my runs and it's great sometimes to look back. My running pace is never fast but has naturally picked up over the last 3 to 4 months. Enjoy running freestyle.
Thanks Richard, thats comforting to know I might get faster. I hope I can keep it up this winter, don’t mind the rain, but our winds are pretty horrific here, but I read here on this forum, people running in snow and hail, so whats a little breeze
After all the winter weather I finally tracked down a local gym that does pay as you go .. I used it for a week in January just to try it out but have not been back since. But I have it as a fall back for when the weather is really nasty now. I just wish I had it last December.
