Hi all, was meant to start my week 5 run tonight but iv done something to my foot and now it's swollen and bruised . I want to push through the pain but I'm gonna assume that's a terrible idea , my last run was Tuesday now I'm panicking about what to do after having so many rest days in a row I'm worried going back into it is going to be really hard, should I redo week 4 instead when I'm up to it? Or just carry on to week 5? T.i.a

I am no expert but would suggest better to let the foot recover and depending on how long that takes go back a week or so.....Make a plan for recovery say foot up today with ice moving to gentle exercise then running. That way you’ll keep feeling you are progressing as it’s all in the plan....

I'm with sussexmalc let it recover.. there's no point doing youself further injury.

Let you foot recover go back to where you're comfortable and go from there. Lose a week or two not months

You don't lose condition for a couple of weeks.

There is never any point in running through real pain.
