W3r3 & scared

Just finished my w3r3 run - and it was really hard work. I managed it without stopping but it was difficult.

I’m scared now to start week 4. Should I stick with week 3 until it feels easier?

Thanks.

I felt the same with todays W3 Run 2. Found it really difficult like my legs just aren’t strong enough

SCARED!!!!!!!?

I should think so, we will send Oldfloss round to beat you up with a foam roller!!!!!

What is the worst that can happen? you might not complete a run, in which case you repeat it........

This is a training plan not the Spanish Inquisition........

I AM.. 😉

Reallt...no need to be scared..You completed these runs..so..move on.

Slower than a laid back snail on a go slow...just relax..and take it gently..I will be the one running beside you, whispering , slow and steady.

This is meant to be fun..and if you cannot quite make it..(you will though;) then treat that as a practice.

Go on..surprise yourself 😉

No, carry on, you'll be fine, yes it's tough, need to be positive and try not to overthink it, thoughts could put the mockers on it for you, just take the toughness but remember slow wins the run, should be race but it's not a race!😊

I was the same. I think a lot of us are. I contemplated repeating W3 but I just thought give it a go & I have done W4R1. It was tough but I did it. Go for it - as Iannodatruffe says - what's the worse that can happen? Also he told me when I felt like that - you don't need to repeat a week unless you don't complete a run in the previous week. So I just thought that if I didn't complete it then I'd repeat it. I think that calmed me down & I managed it. I know everyone says it but trust the programme - it really does work. Look how far you have come - I bet you never imagined that when you started. Keep going you're doing great. Good luck. Keep us updated.

I felt the same - but it wasn’t/isn’t as bad as I was building it up to be - hard! But doable- go for it!

I did it (kind of 😊). I set off and put my mobile in my ‘bum bag’ so I could run hands free. Started the 3 min run - felt long but kept going until Runkeeper told me I’d done 10 mins??? I discovered that I’d somehow paused the app so my first run was actually 5 mins! It happened again during the true 5 min run - not sure what I did but I ended up holding my mobile for the rest of the time. So I’m total I did 3 x 5mins + a 3 min. The only thing is I walked for longer than the app suggested as I was trying to get back in sync.

Need to buy one of those arm bands to put my mobile in now.

Not what you're looking for?
