I took my first step towards running 5k today. I’m pretty excited to be able to say that I completed it, in the rain, without feeling like I was going to collapse! I’m actually looking forward to doing the next one 😊

Brilliant well done. It's all downhill from now well maybe not all. Keep it slow and steady, don't get overconfident even when you feel great. That will avoid the two things that stop people, injury and fatigue. Getting miles in your legs takes time and is more important than speed.
If you felt you weren't going to collapse then you're very lucky! I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Well done, that's the first one ticked off and the hardest IMHO. Keep going, one run at a time and check in here for support and encouragement.

Well done, the plan definitely works, and I reckon the first run is the hardest, especially mentally, and because your body probably has other ideas!!
