So after starting Saturday, Today was week 1 run 2. Found it a bit harder towards the end. Did all the run bits but I think I was overtaken by a couple of snails and a tortoise on a zimmer frame for the last two 'brisk' walks. But I'll get em on the flip side. Perseverance is the key.
Question ... as it's 3 runs a week with a day inbetween which is 6 days. Do you get an extra rest day before week 2 or just keep going?
Thanks for all the support peeps. It's truly good to know you aint alone 😉

Hi I think it is personal and to be honest I think most members 1 day run 1 day rest and keep going Personally for me I ran Mon,Wed, Friday and had Sat & Sunday off. This suited me as I had 2 whole days to get over any stiffness or tiredness. Some members do not have the time to go right through as hubby (or wife/partner) & kids may be at home all weekends so have to dedicate time to them.
Having the Sat/Sun off in no way affected my fitness in fact I felt fresher for the start of the next week.
Those snails get around for slow things I still see them on my runs occasionally 😀.
As long as you are feeling ok you can run on alternate days, or have a 2 day rest after one run it really is up to you. The main thing is to listen to your body, especially when the runs get longer, and if you feel you need another day or two take them. My running days vary this week is Weds, Fri, Sun (as I did a training run of a half marathon on Sunday so taking a couple of days to recover). If life or heaven forbid, injury, mean a few days of non running it's not the end of the world, just a delay in finishing the programme. Best wishes for your progress. This really is a brilliant programme.
