I had a bad start to the day, I got my first mark back for second year of uni and it was my worst mark yet, 2 whole grades below what I was getting last year I also have an essay due in on Wednesday that I hadn't started until a few hours ago, so I decided to take my frustration to the park and go for a run before going to uni and doing some work.
It wasn't as difficult as I expected, but the route a chose today had a few hills and the timings meant I walked up them and ran down them. It was a nice morning, though, and I had a nice healthy lunch afterwards.
One thing I did notice was a sharp pain in my right collarbone and ribs, and in my left shoulder blade which died down when it came to the cool down. Am I not used to running or is it something I should be worried about?
Anyway, I'm excited for W2R2, it should be quite an early start cos I'm off to town at 10 to get a tattoo, and I'd rather do my run before it instead of afterwards!
Hope you're all well

Your body will be complaining in all sorts of ways ... telling you lots of things... like.. " What the heck is going on?"
Warm up properly, take it really slow and steady and hot shower after your run Shake your shoulders and arms out too, so that they are relaxed when you run.
Running is great for freeing the negative thoughts and shaking off the bad bits.. but.. you are working on this.. so use what you gain from running to improve that mark maybe?
Get organised.. like you do for your runs...tackle that essay... start maybe a bit sooner next time... I am a great one for quotes.. I used to say this to my own girls.. and myself sometimes too
" Do it now, sometimes 'later', becomes 'never'. "
Okay.. sorry for sounding like your Mum...too many years as a teacher, too
Oh okay! I thought it might be something like that. It was a bit of a pain when I was running but hasn't bothered me since.
Yeah I find that running makes me feel better in myself mentally, and my mental health isn't so good at the moment which is one of the reasons I started running. So hopefully my uni work will benefit too, as I wrote this essay before christmas.
Thank you for the advice!! I usually do start really late, i need to stop that
