Feel totally disheartened today after a good run 1 of week 3 on Saturday.
I knew I shouldn’t have but weighed myself and had put on a pound. Dragged myself out for my run today, tripped over a tree stump and burst my knee. Not the best start to the week...

Oh bless you - and ouch! Don't feel disheartened- you have come this far & a pound can be gained & lost in a day. I've just completed W3 & found W1 hard but W2 a bit easier. I think we all have good & bad days. Probably worrying about that pound didn't help! Scratch it up to experience & draw a line under it. You've got this.
Thanks for that, trying to put it all into perspective. You’re right to say we all have good and bad days, so now I’m thinking run 3 has to be a good one!
Absolutely! Onward & upward. Hope your knee is Ok.
You still did it! Now you can move on...hope the next run is better. And even if you are a pound heavier today you are getting so much fitter. My weight is the same as when I started but have gone down a size in jeans.
Forget the scales, unless you are going for weekly weigh-ins. Look for a downward trend as weightloss is not linear. Measuring yourself in other places than the usual suspects (I lost from my neck ?!?😄 ) or feeling how your clothes fit is a better gauge as your body changes but doesn't necessarily lose weight as you go through the programme. At the beginning you're not really doing enough to see weight loss, especially if you treat yourself after runs. You are doing this and that's what counts👏. Hope your knee isn't too painful and mends quickly.
