Disappointed in myself. Am away from home so went for this run in a slightly unfamiliar area. Did the first 5 min run then when it came to the second- found myself on an uphill climb. I had to stop and walk part way. Then completed the last 5 min run so added another 30 secs or so on the end.

The first time it’s defeated me and feel like I let myself down. Realistically I know it’s a blip but it’s knocked my confidence . Hope everyone else has a better start to their week!

Maybe just repeat it in a day or so when you find a flatter run?

Yes I was thinking that. Rather than move on, redo it to get my confidence back. I need to keep it in perspective as it was only about 30 secs but it’s the first blip I’ve had. Thanks for advice

Don't be disappointed in yourself - I find running uphill really hard too. Also you added on the extra time to make up for stopping. It also sounds like you did the 1st and 3rd runs no problem so focus on the positives! x

Thank you- I do tend to focus on the negatives - you’re right. I just don’t want to fail at this as it means so much to be able to do it. Wed is another day!! X

I think it must be programmed in to us to think of the negatives! When my pupils come out of exams and I ask them how it went they will invariably reel off a list of what went wrong rather than what went well!

Good Luck with your next run :-)
