I graduated three weeks ago and was able to run about 4k in 30 minutes at the end. I was nervous about pushing it out to 5k but I went for it and managed it in 42 minutes. I tried again a week later and finished a bit slower, 5.5k in 55 minutes but with some big hills added. Still running 3x per week but my other runs have been shorter. Today I tried again, and finished 5k in 39 minutes. I wasn't trying to go faster. I was just wanting to make the distance comfortably and my pace increased all on it's own. So pleased! I'm happy really happy with this pace!
I'm working on Bridge to 10k now and have some longer runs ahead, but I'm really impressed with this program and how things have progressed along. This forum is really great too. Keep at it everyone! Find joy in the journey and be proud of what you're doing.
