After feeling confident about my run on Monday, I am back doubting myself again today. 2 x 10 minute runs which I know is going to be hard going. I am determined to complete this and if anyone has any tips for this run then they would be much appreciated.

Just do what you have been doing- follow the programme (because it works) and have faith in yourself (because you have come this far). It is often said that running is a s much a mental challenge as a physical one. Your 'doubts' are thoughts, under your control and not harbingers of doom! Be positive in your thinking and you will feel positive too
Thank you helenwheels. I was so confident on Monday but today I am having a wobble. You are right it is a mental challenge and I am going to go running tonight with a positive attitude and complete it
Elaine I feel like this every run I do. I’m starting week 7 still feeling the same. I have come to the conclusion it is more of a mental thing than physical with me as I have got this far!
Your previous runs have got you ready for this one.
I think I have just discovered that deep breaths on the warm up walk are helping me.
This could be a coincidence or I'm imagining the difference, but I'm going to keep doing it.
You can do this, and you are ready for this. Nice and slow, no rush, enjoy it 😊🏃♀️🏃♀️
Thank you Jell6. Going to run tonight with a positive attitude
I did W6R1 last night and I found it a bit tough. I thought it would be easy peasy after completing the 20 minute run on Sunday. Sometimes I need 2 rest days instead of 1 and that's OK because it's not a race. Running outdoors helps because there is something to look at. If I see someone walking towards me in the park, I can't stop because then I wouldn't be a real runner ! I do think running is more mental than physical at this stage of the program.
Hi Elaine, I have just completed my w6r2 and felt exactly as you do now. I agree with everyone who has replied to you. It is very much the mental challenge. I run in the park and found looking for my next landmark got me through, the next bench or the next bin ect, good luck later.
Relax...just do what you have been doing... slow and steady and enjoy. Think how far you have come and how wonderfully you are doing. Why is this any different.
Each run preparing us for the next, light, gentle steps..look around and know how awesome you are!
The legs are beginning to fins their happy pace now..let them carry you..they know what they are doing.
