After a horrid attempt last week on Thursday that left me feeling urgh! And with blisters from new trainers i re did my run tonight in the mist and rain and much cooler temps after drinking loads of water all day.
I still feel that the first 10-15mins were tough but after that i felt better and by the end i could have carried on even though my legs were feeling it as i did a 10 mile cycle ride on Saturday.
All you guys were so right last time.......i was too tired.....too hot.....not hydrated enough.....and trying to go too fast.
I nearly fell for the too fast again but slowed my pace and was able to get into a nice rhythm. I just hope my speed will come one day but for today im happy im back on track. π

Well done. One thing at a time. Speed really doesn't matter for now. Just concentrate on doing the next two runs at a comfortable pace. Once you have graduated the world is your oyster with all manner of types of runs open to you. Consolidating running for 30 mins, extending your time running, upping the pace But not all at once π. Consolidate first and then ...........
Well done. Forget speed, complete the runs, goal is clearly in sight.
Then set you own schedule after that.
Personally, I'm just going to keep at week 9 until I feel the time is right to try to go faster, after all I had never run for 50 odd years, now I'm doing at least 30 minutes 3x a week. What's the rush?!
